ISH named Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year

ISH named Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award 2023

Brazil is one of the largest economies in the world and its security maturity is above average, but it still has similar problems to the rest of the region. The country has one of the largest gaps in its cybersecurity workforce, with more than 687,000 unfilled vacancies in 2022, according to (ISC2); this represents more than half of Latin America's talent gap, and almost 14.8% of the global gap.

For these reasons, Brazilian companies choose to partner with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to solve security problems. It is in this scenario that ISH leads the market, meeting the needs of more than 600 clients covering various relevant sectors, such as oil, energy, financial services and manufacturing, throughout the country.

Frost & Sullivan applies a rigorous analytical process to evaluate several companies nominated for each award category before determining which company will receive the final award. The process involves a detailed evaluation of best practice criteria in two dimensions for each nominated company.

ISH is a Brazilian powerhouse in cyber security, excelling in many of the criteria in the sphere of professional and managed services:

Innovation and cutting-edge technology to provide excellent services

ISH invests in the development of proprietary technology, consolidating itself as more than just an MSSP. The core of its Research and Development (R&D) and innovation initiative is SafeLabs, which is responsible for developing four solutions that ISH uses extensively to increase its customers' cyber resilience.

It also offers an advanced MDR (Managed Response and Detection) solution with specific regional intelligence feeds, which includes integration with its breach and attack simulation (BAS) solution, OT and loT security and risk management. In addition, ISH's MDR roadmap includes integration with SASE/SSE, identity management and vulnerability prioritization. The MSSP managed services portfolio includes independent BAS, OT and loT security, network security automation, identity threat detection and response, cyber asset attack surface management and other services.

ISH also has a strong PSS offering, consisting of integrated risk management, risk governance and compliance services, virtual CISO, maturity assessment, fraud prevention, money laundering prevention and a multitude of other services. These tools offer a response to common threats and problems in the Brazilian market and synergize with ISH's MSS solution to provide broad coverage across the entire ecosystem.

With a variety of tools and approaches, ISH can customize its services according to the needs of each client. MSSP's strategy begins with carrying out a comprehensive assessment of the client's environment, leveraging its experience, knowledge of the Brazilian market and the threats affecting it. Once the assessments have been completed, ISH develops a cyber security plan that addresses the challenges faced by each client.

A strategy based on education

ISH understands that cybersecurity maturity and awareness can increase dramatically through knowledge and education. For this reason, the company has launched the ISH Academy, a 9-month training program that focuses on cybersecurity soft and hard skills and the company's language and culture, to transform novices into qualified professionals who can hold positions in the company.

According to Lucas Ferreyra, a specialist in the sector, ISH "is deeply aware of and concerned about the lack of cybersecurity talent in the world, an issue that also affects Brazil. The company believes that cybersecurity maturity and awareness can increase dramatically through knowledge and education."

ISH is a titan when it comes to cyber security in Brazil. Its long history in the sector, with significant growth, expansion and the development of new technologies, is proof of the company's success as a provider of managed security services.
